Haven't had one in ages. It's not Ghirardelli but it's pretty good.

    I could easily be a choco-holic :p:D

    Awwww, that's not fair :(
And I just "dared to eat a peach" :p

BTW Alan, would a number 3 wood be better?

That would do wonders for this 3-day headache I've had.

Fire away, but you supply the pain pills ;):D

If you stop drinking your headache will go away.
    Just a thought ;)

I like the Hershey bars with almonds. *drool*

I wish it was that easy :(

I haven't drank since last Thanksgiving. Tobacco is my last (well, almost) vice left. ;)

Almonds are good, but they take up space that could be otherwise occupied by chocolate :p

    mmmm tobacco <sigh>
Plonk? 2 glasses of champagne at a wedding a month ago, prior to that none for about a year. At least I stay awake through events now lol!

Plonk at a wedding? I would hope they'd have better fare than that :D

The worst hangovers I've ever had were from champagne

12oz. glass, half beer, half port wine. Drank about 10 of em. What happened? :D

It was very good champagne. Good champagne doesn't give you a headache. Well actually it can, personally most of the hangovers I had were caused by something I ate:D
The only alcohol that I've never had a hangover from is tequila.
Which is why I stopped. :D

And I like Hershey's Symphony Milk Chocolate.

Frozen hershey chocolate bar dipped in creamy peanut butter, outrageously good. Puts a smile in my tummy....:D

Ugh! If I did that I'd wind up in the Emergency Room with my stomach hanging out my mouth :p

Yuk, I wouldn't even drink the first one!
So why do you have a headache? Is it smoggy?

    BTW: 2B = 43, right?

    My favorite Hershey bar recipe.

Unwrap the bar, set aside for the time being.

Pour 1.5 ounces of tequila in a glass, Lime slice and a bit of salt at hand. Lick the salt, drink the tequila, and bite into the lime. If shivers continue, drink a small amount of beer.

Oh yeah,, then take the candy bar and give it to one of your children. :)

Several years ago I got shingles all over my head/face/neck, and with it came monster headaches. Got addicted to painkillers for a couple years, it was a nightmare. Once in awhile I still get headaches. Before then I hardly ever had 'em.
W00t! You are now an official geek!

Deciphering hex is not for the faint of heart ;)

That's all well and good, but chocolate is still a major food group.
The limes take care of the fruit group.
That was my favourite way to drink it too *shrug*, didn't really need anything else.
Have you ever noticed my sig?

Alan, that is awful, I've heard that shingles are one of the most painful things that can ever happen.

And I cheated and googled it a while back ;)

  20. alanc

    alanc MajorGeek

It's extremely painful. When the docs diagnose it out comes the script pad no questions asked. Lots of nerve endings in our skin.

Had a friend who had it as a teen, that was around his waist. Wicked bad.

Understand the headaches, get very bad ones myself, worse since coming here, sinus I think. Nothing works, I usually just deal with it
Being hit with a hammer somewhere else could work for a while though :D (Or a #3 wood)

I can go thru a bottle of ibuprofen like nobody's business. Does that help at all for you?

  23. lostkiwi

    lostkiwi MajorGeek

Sometimes. Best thing which may work for me (if it's sinus) is the ES Tylenol Sinus Headache. Still not usually. Caffeine does, that's why I drink so much coffee. :p
Hope you feel better soon. Keeping hydrated can help, lots of water and also I think I heard that potassium or magnesium pills can help.

The things that help the most are illegal :p

  27. lostkiwi

    lostkiwi MajorGeek

Well I expect that would depend on where you live :D
Not everything can be illegal everywhere!!

(taking 10, to attend to the drought stricken garden)

Montel Williams was on the O'Reilly factor last week talking with Bill about how MJ is the best relief he gets for his Multiple Sclerosis pain... Montel was very concise and O'Reilly (who usually condemns all illegal drugs) conceded that he thinks it should be prescriped medically for people... =]

    Oh
    Get the soap....

  30. alanc

I agree. For thousands of years the only medicines people had were naturally occurring. Our 'modern' society is pretty arrogant to toss them out the window in favor of expensive synthetic chemicals.

  31. lostkiwi

    lostkiwi MajorGeek

Yeah, but they will hand out highly addictive pills that can wreak havoc all over your body, multi side effects and the warnings "don't drive or operate heavy machinery blah- blah."
    Don't understand it myself.
Maybe it's the naturalness of the "product", if it doesn't come from a lab then...
Excuse me isn't digitalis what they use for heart meds?
I am an observer in this. I would be asleep all the time if I ever needed this particular form of medication!!

  32. alanc

    alanc MajorGeek

And in my case my doc says "There's a difference between being addicted and being physically habituated."

Coulda fooled me while I was sweating and twitching for a week and a half

That's a good psychobabble phrase if ever I heard one.
    Hang on, AADD moment:
I liked that song, Alan Parsons Project "I Robot" I think, around 1978? (Psychobabble).....see why I don't take anything :D

Hmmm...Yeah, get pretty wicked migraines myself, usually lasting a week or so. Legacy of my Industrial Chemist days. That's why me and Hershey are not very good friends - too much tends to set it off (The headaches, that is)

.....Mr. Hershey doesn't like me nowadays! :(

Re: M.J. Issue:- It got legalized over here recently for personal use/growin', but me brain has enough trouble working already!

That's one reason I only indulge occasionally, it's a definite headache trigger.

But since I already had one today I figured what the hell :p

Ya, for some reason chocolate is a headache trigger.

Speaking of which I'm gonna have to go, my head is not so good...:(
