Mobo logo screen every time I boot/reboot??

I have Intel mobos on both the main machine and the backup, and when I change the hardware or fiddle with the BIOS, the next time I boot, the mobo logo ("Intel Desktop Boards") screen shows for a second before the Windows XP screen appears. Fine.

Lately, on both machine, EVERY TIME I boot or reboot, the Intel logo screen shows up for a second or so before the WXP screen loads.

I suspect that a recent Windows update patch did this, because it started happening on both computers at the same time, and I do my updates at the same time for both.

Anybody else seeing a mobo logo screen allofasudden, when there's no reason?

Anybody know why this would start after months (years) of no mobo logos *except* after tinkering episides?

(Yes, the BIOS is set to "quiet boot.")

I'm not completely sure i know what you are referring to,
but there are some "logoshow" options in BIOS.

If you are referring to the boot logo, then:
    1)Open "boot.ini"
    2)After /fastdetect add: /noguiboot

Make a backup of your original BOOT.INI before making the changes so if you experience any problems you can replace it. Also, you will have to uncheck the read-only attribute before you can save.
