mobo's dead

yeah I'm pretty sure that my mobo's dead. It's a socket 754. I'd like to know, can today's mobos support my Athlon XP 64 3200?

 

I did not see any skt 754 boards on the 'Egg. Looks like it is time for you to do a little upgrading. :-D

You might be able to find a skt754 on Flea Bay or in the classified section.

No, the Skt 754 is pretty much dead.:cry Wow, there is only one 939 board on New Egg! You will be getting a pretty good upgrade with some newer stuff!

oh well, maybe i'll buy me a new rig with the loans and bursuries. They lend you 2 grand for a pc. not bad

 

There is a way to get an ECS socket 754 mobo thru Newegg albiet with a bunch of stuff you may not want. Go to the main page of newegg and under the SPECIALS tab select COMBO DEALS and under category select MOTHERBOARD/CPU/VGA COMBO. You will find two ECS mobos with Case, power supply, cpu and memory all for about $104.

I know thats probably not what your looking for but its a reasonable price except for the fact that ECS boards are not top of the line.

 

well i'm in Canada, so we have no newegg here. I could get a skt 754 on ebay tho. but a new rig sound more fun
