MOD a Apple IIE joystick

    ok i am thinking of moding the joystick from a Apple IIE computer i want to mod the port on it from a male sir port to a game port and make it work with windows its a cool looking joy stick thats why i want to do it i always wanted one just like it for the computer i use for my games but could never find one now i have one but its for a Apple computer is there any way i can mod it to work on a windows pc?

    you won't be able to get that to work on a gameport without some serious modifications. The ][E was all serial, like most macs of the day. Your best bet would be to take off that serial plug and put a female db9 on it. Plug it into the PC's serial port and se if you can make it work. The other option I could see is using a USB to serial adapter, perhaps even wired internally, and make it a USB joy. Gameport however will probably be the hardest, I don't know any adapters to go from serial to that interface.

    i was not talking about doing that i was talking about cutting off the end and putting a gameport on it lol but anyways thanks for the info
