Modem Question

Please excuse my ignorance---and probably should have asked tech support while they were here---just updated to a new modem to operate two computers in my house---using new ATT modem and DSL service---running one computer hardwired to modem and another wireless from same modem---my question is ---does this modem also act as a hardware firewall?---Thanks much---

 

I can't say for sure but I have some doubt, since this ATT support FAQ page seems to imply you need a software firewall because the modem does not provide firewall support. See: What is a firewall? Do I need one? [Note: I don't know whether that link will work from this forum message. You may need to go through the maze I went through to get to it.]

If you want further confirmation, I suggest you contact ATT tech support.
