Hi, just wondering if anyone can help me out here.
I've searched everywhere and can't find an answer.

I'm trying to connect a tp link modem & router combo (TD-W8920G) so that I can send a wireless signal to my PS3. I've had this set-up before and it all works fine.
However I've just moved house, I can connect to the internet just fine with the standard modem from my isp.
BUT, when I connect my TP Link modem/router I can't even access the settings. My browser just gives me this:

    Option (1 )
have you made you isp aware of your modem, some isp's (comcast) I don't want to mention names track modems and have them registered in their system by the serial number. If they have no record of your modem then it will not work with your internet connection,( at least thats what they have told me over the years. If I'm incorrect trust me someone else will come along with a better solution.

Option (2) even if the modem is not registered with your isp you still should be able to get to the settings screen, have you tried to reset your modem /router there should be a master reset on your modem/router which takes it back to factory specs. this option will probably erase all the setting you had from your previous connection. Once it is reset try again to connect to it.

Yeah one of the first things I did was reset the modem.
I just don't understand why I can't even access the modem settings screen.
    Seems quite unfair to me.
You think it'd at least give me some chance to screw something else up.

So I still have no idea what's happening here.
I've emailed the TP-Link support and they sent back this:

    Dear Customer,

Could you please try using Internet Explorer to access the setup page.
Please make sure you are using an Ethernet cable and not wireless for the setup.
Please make sure your antivirus and firewall are not causing the issue or blocking local addresses.
Please make sure your browser is not set to use a proxy server.
If all this fails please contact us again with further information.

All of which is pretty obvious.
    Still no luck.

    Any ideas?

I do not know about the Internet, the standard modem is probably use for authentication and you have to call your ISP.

As far as the the TP, use a cable, connect one computer with the cable to the LAN side. Type the IP of the TP and try again. If it does not work configure the computer with a static IP of the same subnet.
