modem to ethernet adaptor

    i know you can get these, they must be available!
    i just got hold of an old P3 745mhz laptop with 128mb ram and it has no ethernet port, just a modem to phoneline connector. i'm sure you can get an adaptor for this so an ethernet cable can be plugged in, surely??
    if not, there's no big worry as it has a wifi card socket and as i'm going to wireless after xmas.... ;)

    Does it have any USB ports? If so a USB NIC could work too (except for NT of course).

    yes it has just the one but i really want to keep that available, surely there is one for the modem output connector?

    You can get a USB hub to allow more than one connection. They're pretty cheap.

    nah i'll save my money until i get my wireless pcmcia card and router (i think thats the right card for laptops yes?)
