    Hello
Please do not take this a a criticism of MGs.
I wanted to install Iobit program remover, and in the process, using MG download, I noticed - too late - that here was a teeny check including Total System Cleaner.
I am not sure you are aware of this as it sort of quickly sneaks in.
For those who want a clean install of just Iobit it is an unwanted surprise.
I just though I would bring it to your attention as I come to MGs for all of my down loads as I know I can trust their integrity.

I'm really surprised peter that, as a regular here, you aren't aware of the Iobit problem - that any Iobit program will attempt to trick you into installing Advanced System Care (not Total System Cleaner). During the download and install of Iobit Uninstaller it tries twice to do this, even if you uncheck the first attempt. The site used to carry a prominent warning to be careful when downloading any freeware and to uncheck any unwanted freeloaders. I can't find it now.

If you want to be protected from this sort of thing then download Unchecky.

I used both Revo and Iobit to uninstall unwanted clutter.
The first time, on the the desktop, it got me but not on the laptop.
Thanks for the referral to the program.
I think you read and screen a lot more than I do on MGs, Bernie. I really have not seen anything to do with Iobit and only used it as Revo could not remove a program.
    All is well.

That is a viable alternative. Let me ask around and thank you for the referral.

I've been using it on my desktop and laptop computers since sometime last year.

    Hi Peter

Always worth aiming these types of questions at tim @ majorgeeks.com

But while I agree the add-on bundled software is getting harder to spot at times or they say tick here to skip install or tick here to install, it can be confusing, which is why I would always on install of any free software look at all install screens a few times.

You are right, David - haste makes ......
I took Bernie's advice and use Checky so I won't miss.

Unchecky looks like a nice app to just make sure you dont leave a checkbox ticked for additional software over what you really want to install.
