Modern Warfare 2 are you buying it?

I've put in a pre-order for it and looking froward to playing it.

yes. i hope its as good as the first one. I heard rumor that the release will be delayed 2 weeks for pc, not console. but it wasn't official.

 

I got the first one for free with my graphics card about a year ago. I'm more of a WW2 guy so I wasn't too thrilled about loading it, but this past summer I was jones'n for something new to play, and I remembered I had it so I loaded it up. To my surprise it was fun. I did however have some game crashing issues, that I was able to minimize with Riva Tuner. Whether or not that actually helped, I'm really not sure, but I was able to finish the game. I'll get MW2 when it comes down in price a bit.

 

Well after the little dediated server stunt i'm not buying.

No dedicated servers.

 

What do you mean? People cant host their own servers or something?

 

nope, meaning you can host a game from your personal pc, but not a rented server, hence the end of clan-run servers.

 

Yep instead they invented this IWnet stuff.

After hearing that I was going :mad for 3 days straight.

Until they add them they add dedicated servers they can :kissmy

oh i see. well that really sucks. wonder if itll be possible to keep a dedicated box in your house so a server is always up... might have to look into that.


bf:bc2 looks badass too. love games.

 

youre gonna need a pretty good internet connection (upload speed) to have it work good with alot of players.

 

No online split screen for consoles.... so no

Must have came out today because there was a line of people like you would see for black friday at walmart infront of the gamestop store here. And I mean packed for my little ghetto town.. and eventually cops were called to control crowd. I was very suprised and looked online to see what was going for sale today.. And it was this.. SO maybe many people like it..

 

I'll buy it later for single player like I did with the first

 

at least 3 kids i know skipped school today to play it...same with when Halo ODST came out a little while ago (but not the same kids)

 

i preordered it and stood in line last night at midnight. it's fun, but the single player is a bit lacking for the pc. but it's still kinda fun, just not sure how much I will play it after the single player is done.

Best Buy hosted an online interview with a couple people from IW. The above is the text from the interview between gamers and IW.

 

Bought it and I must say I am getting kind of addicted to it lol Only thing it is missing is dedicated servers and open mod which I heard may be happening in the future.

 

Yeah i bought it too... its pretty cool. i beat the sp on normal, so i upped the difficulty to hard. way better.
do you have it on PC?

 

Ya I got it on PC but I mainly play the multilayer. I'm an online gaming whore :cool

i just played it over at my friend's, and i really didnt see what was so great about it...its basically cod4 with graphical updates and the ability to blow up more things.

ALTHOUGH i played it on an xbox 360, i HATE having to use controllers for FPS games. i kept dying on medium hardness :-o

ill probably buy it sometime next week and try it on the computer to see if i like it more.

i have a mic. also have a vent server we can use if youre interested. i know a few people in my css clan that play a bit of MW2, so im sure we can get 5 or 6 people playing.
