moding fan

    any idea on this? :confused

    i have 2pcs. silverstone FM121 - (bought it 60% off- used)
    3 pin connector- connected to my mboard intel dg31pr

    im planning to take out the controller (im not satisfied with controller function)
    is it possible to mode it into fastest the blow without the controller (i mean taking out the controller)

    i tried: taking out the controller- its in low speed

    with controller- when i turn it to maximum speed- there is increase but im not really satisfied :cry


    any idea?

    if the fan supports 12v, get a 3pin to molex adapter, then plug it into your 12v leads (like what goes to your optical drivers or pata harddrives). That will get full speed out of it (again, as long as it is rated to run at 12v)
