MOH:AA serious lag problem

Just recently I am getting a very serious lag problem on all UK servers. What will happen is that I will attempt to walk through a door but instead of going through that door I will end up side-stepping to the right and be facing the wall. My gun will continue firing even when I have stopped pressing the mouse button. Also I seem to hop, skip and jump when moving forward. My system specs are as follows.

Win XP sp1
AMD Athlon XP 1800+
1.0GB DDram pc2700
Geforce 4ti 4400 128mb (drivers 56.72)
Creative soundblaster audigy
ADSL 512kb connection.

Now because I play in leagues we have to have DMW running. But whenever I try to join a league match with anti-cheat it complains about certain files in my main folder which are.
3dfx.gll
opengl32.dll
I had to remove these files to be able to join a league match. I also have 2 other files in there called IFC22.dll(immersion foundation classes) and IJL10.dll(intel jpeg library) what are these files?

I have defragged my hard drive, checked for a virus, also ran Adaware and Spybot, no problems found on anything.

This lag problem is really becoming annoying now and I have no idea what is causing it. To be honest the game is becoming unplayable. Any help much appreciated.

Especially no cd patches? Although i dont have MOHAA I would find it hard pressed that a nocd patch would cause such inmense lag. also i feel that someone that searches for help for a lag prob probably isnt cheating.

Anyways; Im pretty sure gf4 mx is the bare minimum you should run mohaa on. Playing on an online enviroment demands much more then when you play v. the AI on your pc. Try lowering details and resolution to somthing more apropriate. Removing complex smoke; shadows and bitmap helps alot in performance. If you played b4 with high details and resolution and when you play w/lower it works fine; it may be a heat issue. Good Luck

 

Ok this follows on from the original thread. I reinstalled the game and have no mods in there and the only custom maps are the DMW approved maps which we need for the league we play in. Everything worked great for a while.....


But today it's started all over again. Every server I join becomes unplayable. I cannot open doors, my gun fires on its own, gun will keep firing even after I stopped pressing fire button, I skip and jump over the maps. This is on every server that I join, so it's not a server problem. This is beginning to get me down now because I love this game. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this to happen. I have defragged, checked for virus, checked for spyware and they all come up clean.
