I recently got a new video card for christmas(a 256 which was an upgrade on my old 64). After installing it i started up my Medal of Honor game only to find that my FPS was still in the low 30's. However in every other game its up in the 200-300 range. I tried using the Configure tool that comes with it, but when i do it comes back and tells me i have the same specs that i had before upgrading (i also put in a 256 stick of ram with my 512) Anyone know why this might be happening? And a way to fix it?

In addition. What exact video card are you using (I.E Brand AND Model).

What game is having the issues? Fully patched? Latest video drivers for the game? What resolution? AA/AF?

My apologies, i had only glanced over that post. But i had thought it was enough information, But i'll list my specs...what i know of it that is.

    Windows XP SP2 (Home Edition)
    768 DDR Ram, PC 2700 i think.
GA-7VKML MotherBoard with an AMD Athlon 1.7 GHZ
PCI GeForce 5500 256mb video card
    40 Gig' harddrive

The game is Medal of honor allied assult (Spearhead expansion)
It's fully patched and updated. Drivers are all up to date as far as i know. And im playing it in a 800x600 res just like always

What was your old card - the one you upgraded from? You said it had 64Meg VRAM but which model?
Also, Rev1 is right that a PCI card is slower than an AGP (about 17%), and although you have one of the most powerful PCI cards available it still won't be up to much. Although Medal of Honor is an old game, and your system specs are way beyond the minimum requirements, I remember MOHAA being jittery on almost any system due to the games engine, especially the expansion packs. Make sure Full Scene Anti Aliasing (FSAA) is turned off and drop the resolution to 640x480x16bit colour. On the bright side at least your other games have improved :)
