If you have an asus board, it will probably be a better choice, but as i don't have an asus board myself i can't really tell...

I dloaded the asus probe program and when i went to install it, it came up not an ASUS board? very strange but it is an asus board. i went into the bios and found the temps in there but i wanted to no if there was a way to get them displayed on my desktop.

any ideas? or other good programs that might do this?

    cheers again

    MOTHERBOARD 30 OC

If it says 80 and you are not having any problems(shuts down on it's own)

there might be something wrong with your sensor.

The P4 in my laptop typically runs in the mid to upper 40's(47 right now)

No one has mentioned EVEREST, so far.
    Everest Home Edition. www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4181

This may help you with HDD, and mobo temps, if your PC has the appropriate sensors.

BTW, pressing Alt key and 0186 on an external keyboard numeric keypad ( if you use one), will give you degrees ( º ) if you are looking for it. Bazza
PS: CPU is short for Cental Processing Unit, your P4 chip. Baz

I have downloaded the everest and it looks good i have an image below for you to say it has my temps on etc and im really worried my the CPU temp as it says 72 c

im getting a new CPU cooler tommorrow and i dont no if it well make much of a difference but its a good one its the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket 775) (HS-017-AR) , im hoping it might knock the temp down abit.

all the other temps seem ok though my graphics card is at
47 c at the mo and my motheboard it 30 c, i dont no of any problems my pc seems to work fine shuts down no probs but just curious why the CPU temp is so high if anyone could give me a hand on sorting it id be very greatfull

    cheers
    Liam

Glad EVEREST worked for you, but I will leave comments up to the hardware "geeks" to comment on CPU, HDD, etc., temperatures, as they will be much more knowledgeable on this, than I am. Bazza
