Monitor Blurry > 60 hertz

Hello,

Recently ATI drivers have been giving me a big problem. I kept getting sub par frames in old games, mouse freezing, other issues. So I updated my drivers and now my monitor goes blurry when I go over 100 hertz regardless of revolution. I've been using 100 hertz for ever and it hasn't given me a problem.

What is weird is that I can't tell if this is a software or hardware problem. I know the drivers messed everything up for me, but when I punch my monitor it stops being blurry for a few seconds.

What could be causing this? Is there an alternative ATI driver I can use? (omega didn't help). Why does my monitor act normal when I punch it?

 

Mine's been running at 75Hrtz for as long as I can remember.

Why not just try a lower resolution? Won't hurt....

 

Sorry I wasn't clear, anything over 60 hertz now becomes blurry regardless of resolution.

60 hertz makes me feel sick to look at.

Look for previous versions of the drivers you require.

 

A classic way to fix a moniter lol, i had to do that witha previous moniter i had because the colors werent displaying properly until i opened it up and fixed it myself with some string (lol). The punching may be knocking something in or out of place, as the guy before me suggested try the older drivers and if that doesnt work buy some device off ebay that keeps punching your moniter.
