   Hi, I was thinking of using a 6-Foot 15-Pin Male to Male VGA Cable to connect my laptops monitor onto a desktop. Will there be any conflict? I will have the laptop turned off but will the picture come up when I connect the cable to the desktop?

   If your using a splitter, yes whichever one is on will work. If your using the dual outputs of your video card, whichever is on will still work, I assume in this case, it will want to display like dual monitors which probably wont go well
