I have just started using a wide screen monitor, model AOC 193FW. My vedio driver is an on-board Intel 82945G chipset.

There is significent vertical distortion (compression) on the display. It's really not good for any photo work.

Is there any way to get rid of this distortion?

    Thanks

Two things to look at, first would be a driver update, monitors only like to be run in their native resolution, say 1440x1024, if you back that down to say 1024 you will have the problem like yours, check and see what your monitor recommends. ed
