Monitor goes into Sleep Mode!

    I have a Compaq with AMD Athlon XP 3000+ 512Mb. I recently installed an ATI 9550 256Mb Video Card. It works well when watching DVD or most other things. But as soon as i start playing a game (ie. Empire Earth 1 and 2) it freezes and the monitor goes into sleep mode. I am not sure if it has to do with the settings or what. Please Help!

    I just went to the ATI website and downloaded the newest version of Cataylst (5.6) which has newest drivers with it. My computer came with integrated graphics and therefore wasnt enough to play Empire Earth 2 so i upgraded. I never once had this problem before i installed the video card.

    Yes i did disable the onboard system.
