I have two monitors, a 27" Asus and a 24" Acer (G245H). I recently had some virus issues which were cleaned up in the "Malware Removal Forum". However with my Acer, if I put it to 1920 X 1080 (the recommended resolution) I get a 1" black border around the image. Before the problems with the virus it was filling up the screen fine at that resolution. I can't seem to get the monitor to work on the proper resolution.

Have you tried to reinstall your video driver? Delete it first in safe mode, download and install.

I figured it out. I just had to go into Catalyst control and set the overscan to maximum.
