Hi everyone, I have been having some problems with my computer and need help.

Whenever I try to play any game my monitors will lose signal and a loud sound will come from my computer. It sounds like a fan going really fast, and I think it is the GPU but I could be wrong.

Sometimes I can play a game fine for a few hours and it runs perfectly, no problems, and then it suddenly happens. Other times it happens as soon as I launch a game.

I have tried cleaning out my PC with compressed air, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, using different monitors/cables, tried two different GPUs, two different power supplies, and no luck so far.

Computer is an Alienware X51 R2. My computer specs: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/W70nlKZkMtwnuwvwlcVPXne

    Thanks for any help.

wow, my condolences. it feels like you have exercised due diligence in troubleshooting it.
i don't know how one could test it, but the actual slot that the video card sits in might be acting up when put under stress.
have you contacted alienware ? i realize it's part of Dell, but they might have a better idea what's going on.
this page has tools for checking GPU performance
