Hi, I have a Dell inspiron 1150 laptop. It had a heating problem it seemed. So I followed the fan removal instructions so I could clean it. wasn't really very dusty so I just kinda blew on it and put it back together. Now the monitor doesn't work,...can anyone maybe explain what I could have missed or done wrong. Never had monitor problems before.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

Did you use the manual to take the laptop apart? There is usually some sort of cable between the top and bottom. You probably do not have it seated properly.

ya that, the cable isn't plugged in all the way or you have it backwards

Yes, I used the manual. I will try again to go through the steps and look for plugs installed wrong or not snug enough. I removed the cover that houses the power button and then the keyboard and then the metal shield and then the fan. I removed a total of two plugs,...the fan and the keyboard. Not sure what I missed in the process.

    Thanks Guys,
    Jeff
