    Hi guys,

While updating a driver the other day, I managed to somehow delete another driver, now when I start up my PC the monitor stays in standby, I have tried unplugging it and plugging it back in and nothing works, can anyone help me please.

    Thanks in advance

I think I may have deleted my VGA driver, how do I re-install it?

I am not an expert but i would try putting the OS disk in and doing repair.

    Hi Pearce,

Standby on the monitor indicates that no signal is being sent from the video card. No driver is needed to get 'Std' video on any monitor 640 X 480 and 2 colors. That driver is in the BIOS and is what you see during boot. This could mean any thing from the video card is bad or the computer is not booing at all. Check to see if you knocked any cables loose.

    Good Luck, Jim

I think we select any wrong option while operating our system. For that Monitor on Standby.
