Monitor or GPU?

Hello guys, my three(?) year old iH254 monitor power light started blinking about a month ago, so I checked all connections and it seemed to have fixed the issue. About ten days ago the monitor went black.

Long story short, turns out my gpu was dying so I RMA EVGA and they are sending another gpu. The blinking light has started again (though while I'm typing, IT'S NOT!). Any thoughts?

You might want to check to see if it's the cable by swapping in a new one. Cables tend to break internally.

Thanks I'll look into that also;)

The easiest and typically fastest way to determine that is to try a different monitor (or TV that supports computer input).

Apologies for not being more thorough. I did swap monitors and it worked briefly, then I swapped gpus and the problem appeared solved (I say appeared because of the topic we're discussing). Since the original posting, I've not gotten the blinking power light. Could have been a connection, although EVGA confirmed the death of my gtx580 and replaced it with a gtx760 2GB superclocked so that's great.:-D
