monitor problem

    the picture at the top of the screen on my monitor on my laptop is darker than

    the rest of the picture. it is too dark to see. i am on windows 7. a HP pavilion g

    series. i3 processor. 6 gb memory. is there any software that will adjust the

    monitor. thanks in advance.

    Most of the more current Laptops have backlights, either standard fluorescent or LED, both top and bottom of the screen. It sounds like the top lights are perhaps not working.

    Is the machine in warranty?

    or it might be the power inverter (or power inverter AND the backlights). The backlight is more expensive than a power inverter I believe. I'd start with the backlight first however, considering the photograph. If that doesn't work, it is most definitely your inverter. =) Good luck!
