Monitor problem

I bought a game that can only be played in 1024 by 768 mode but when I start the game the screen is black I can here sounds from the menu but no picture. now if my monitor dosen't support 1024 by 768 (which is strange )is there anything I can do

 

Make sure you have the latest video card drivers. If you dont know if your monitor supports 1024 x 768.....that tells me you run it at a resolution lower than that....and im sorry, but I shed a tear for you

Right click on the desk top, and click properties. Click the "Settings" Tab, and set the resolution to 1024 x 768 or higher if you so desire....if the option for 1024 x 768 isnt available to you......you need a new monitor

You can get lcd monitors with tft technolgy (which is good for gaming) for around $250.00 if you check around on the web.

 

If you don't have 1024x768 as an option that doesn't necessarily mean you need a new monitor.

Update your video card drivers first and see if you now have that resolution available.
