I'm running XP home on a dell PC...and there's a wierd problem with the monitor. The entire image on the screen is shaky, as if too much power is surging through it or something. I wanted to have a look in BIOS, but the computer does not seem to want to let me in (any ideas there?). Anywho...I figure that I might try re-installing the drivers (though its a plug-and-play monitor), but I dunno....maybe it's one of video card, cable, driver problem...or maybe even some type of interferance. (btw, this is the second monitor I've had...same problem with both) Thnx in advance for the help...:)

try de-gausing it, something near by the monitor is causing the pulsating either a strong electrical source or radio interference.

There should be a button on the monitor somewhere to do it. Mine's on the front and serves as the exit for the onscreen menus.

Thnx for the help, guys. I'll go down to have a look at that compy later today and see what I can do. There are some radios near it, but I don't think they'd be creating a strong interferance, and besides, there are radios near the compy that I'm currently on (though not quite as close) and this one has no problem. Anyways, I'll post what the problem was when I find it.

Some pc equipment comes with metalic shielding to prevent this kind of stuff, other more generic/older equip doesnt.

Same problem with two monitors? It may not be the monitor -- I'd be more suspicious of the video card.

Try the monitor on another computer and see if it still misbehaves. If it doesn't, look elsewhere for your problem. Try swapping out the video card and see if the problem goes away. Better yet, put the video card in another machine. If the problem follows the card, it's time to find another.

What sort of frequency does the image pulsate at? Does it quiver maybe 10-20 times a second, or pulsate at 1-2 times a second -- or minute?

LOL...turns out the problem was the refresh rate for the monitor. It was set at 75 Hz; I just set it down to 60 Hz, and the pulsating stopped. *shrugs* Thnx for the help, though, guys.
