i'm not sure what happened to my grandparents computers but there screen is displaying way too big on the monitor and it actually doesn't fit on the screen and requires you to move the mouse to edges to scroll through the rest of the screen, i tried going through properties and adjusting the screen size and that didn't work then i tried to adjust the screen size throught the monitor and that didn't work either.

Open Device manager and check what it is using for driver. It sounds like it is using the lowest level possile and they probably have a screen 800 x 600.
