New PC, obviously, with new monitor. All set-up and running fine. CD-ROM with software came with monitor. I've not installed it. Should I? Or, as all is well should I leave well alone?

The monitor cd probably contains the inf file that tells what resolutions you monitor is capable of. It is meant to be used, so use it.

If you're in a bad mood may be you should take your frustrations out elsewhere.
