Monitor software

I am experimenting with a download that adjusts the monitor levels of red, green and blue. There are three adjustments for each color. These adjustments are not available from my monitor's own adjustment feature. What I am adjusting?

You're probably adjusting the video driver's gamma levels for each channel. That's generally the best way to calibrate monitors using software only.

 

I am asking because there are three adjustmets for each color. BTW what does the gamma adjustment do?

 

What sort of Video Card do you have and what is the particular app your talking about?? I have EVEREST Ultimate (F......ING love it) and it does it all for me, what where and how I don't know but love this app!

 

I have an Nvidia GForce 5200 and the app is called 3Deep. First you adjust the contrast then there are three sliding adjustments 3 for green, 3 for red.... These must be gamma adjustments for each color. Is Everst the same?

 

To be honest its a hell of a lot more complex that and I just allow it to run the test and adjust from there.

 

I downloaded Everst but I can't find the screenshot page in the post. I bet you have to purchase it for that???

 

You have EVEREST Home Edition whereas I have EVEREST Ultimate Edition (yep money).
