Monitor TFT brightening

Hello,

Having a problem with my monitor.
After around 2 hours of use my Monitor, a V7 S17PD, starts getting brighter, no matter how dark a I make it gets brighter. Then the whole screen will suddenly face across the screen in a bright white. Also when trying to change the brightness in the settings with the buttons at the front of the monitor, after 98 brightness the screen will flicker with think lines horizontal across the screen.

Anyway ideas of the problem?

I don't know what the problem is. I just chimed in to say it sounds like a serious hardware problem and you should take it to a computer repair shop to have it diagnosed. Monitor hardware issues aren't usually something that can be fixed over forums without great difficulty, and if you try to fix it yourself you may end up damaging it beyond repair.

That is just my two cents.
