    Computer Operating System: XP Professional
    Computer Type: Dell Workstation
    Browser Internet Explorer
Computer is connected to a large network through a major corporate server.

First off I'd like to inform all readers that I'm not a computer geek so if you offer guidance please keep this in mind. I 'd like to find out if their is a way that I can access a file that would contain all internet log inn’s from a particular user showing the times logged on, amount of time spent surfing the internet etc...? Can I generate a list of my own Internet activity as well? I can't download additional software to accomplish this task. At local machines I have administrator rights. However these rights do not extend across the entire corporate network. If you can help please do for I would appreciate any and all help. Thank you.

Who ever has access to the routers and Firewall logs would have this info.

Thank you for your response. I honestly appreciate your help.

As brownizs said, whoever has access to the firewall and routers will have the ability to see the logs. Although you may have administrator rights on local machines, this more than likely doesn't extend to the server, routers, or firewall.

As a matter of curiosity, why would/do you want these logs? I know that most large corps. have internet and computer usage policies. Your System Administrator could print the logs for you, provided that you have a valid reason for wanting and needing them. Hope this helps. :)

Our network Administrator is extremely difficult to work with. He has a personality of a scorpion after you stuff you foot in a shoe. Also, in most instances he isn't able to help or he just refuses to help employees. I want this data to see what is happening in my area on off shifts. I'm curious to find out if employees are using the Internet for inappropriate activities. Thanks for your help.

Just curious. What kind of log-in does your company use? Can one person use different computers with the same log-in or are they restricted to just certain computers? The answer could shed a little light on the subject.

And ditto. Why the interest? Is there problems? Suspicions of fraud or other "unwanted" activity on the computers?

Oh, and I feel you. Our Administrator is the same. Thinks they know everything and everybody else knows nothing! Love for you here on that!!!!!!!! :D

If you think that there are inappropriate "things" going on with company computers on the Internet, wouldn't the Administrator be interested in finding that out?

Hmmm. You don't have the support of your network admin people. That's awkward.

If you don't have management support for what you think needs to be done, you might want to reconsider whether you even want to go there. Snooping network logs without management's knowledge or consent is bound to be misinterpreted when it's discovered, and could get you fired in some places. The fact that you were right might not change anything -- you're still out the door.

If you do have management support for what you think needs to be done, your boss (or his) will deal with the network admin guy with the poisonous personality.
