Monitor won't shut down - recommended software

    I have a Lenovo 3000 N100 that has windows xp as the operating system. I came with Vista and I got rid of it because it was so friggin' slow. Everything seems to work fine, but the monitor will not power off as per the windows settings and will not power off when the lid is shut. Are there utilities available that will do what windows xp is not able to do?:major

    Hello ColTech88.

    So, when your saying that you have configured your monitor to power off as per the windows settings? Are you sure you configured them properly. Also, do you have the latest video/monitor drivers from Lenovo for your make/model? Check into that. Also, check your device manager to see if possibly its having conflicts. (? or !)
