Ok so I set my ram to over clock by only 20 mhz and then after that my screen would not turn on like I didn't even get to start up once with the O/Ced RAM this happened before when I first built it trying to install the OS and all I had to do that time was refit the CPU.

    my specs are
    CPU- AMD Athlon XP 3000+
    MOBO- ASUS Delux
RAM 1 gig (2x512) OCZ Performance
HDD- Maxtor 200 gig 7200 RPM 16 meg Cache
FX Card- Chaintech 6600 256 meg
    BIOS- Award Phenox
I also just hooked up the firewore 600 port on it and its about 3 weeks old

At first I was thinking the RAM or something else got shorted out but I don't think thats it because it never started up with the O/Ced settings so im just thinking I need something to restore the BIOS but yet I can't get into it any ideas?

    Reset your MOBO/Reset CMOS.
This will return Bios to default settings.
After reset before trying to boot to windows boot to bios & configure bios for your hardware. ( Default settings will not usually provide the best performance, I have an A7N8X deluxe default BIOS settings underclockes my CPU)

When Installing your OS, is best to do with stock settings.

Just an FYI, failed BOOT from OCing ram, solution if you dont Toast your memory you would simply return memory to slower or stock speeds.
Sometimes resetting the mobo is necessary or even Reload Windows as failed OC can corrupt your OS.
You would never have to reseat your CPU/Ram or Graphics because you applied to much Mhz!

Lol thanks again ASUS im up and running again and yes I know about the underclocking I have that the default is one full GHZ under my default speed but i've had my CPU O/C to a 3200+ for a while stabily
