My lovely 19" flat screen monitor said goodbye to me this morning, so I dug out an very old 19" CRT from the attic, half my desk, a bar of chocolate, 13 music cd's are wedged underneath it, not really, just wondered if anyone could point me in the general direction of a decent maker.

 

Samsung as well. Purchased one in Jan 2004 (19" LCD SyncMaster 191T plus) Did it ever cost a lot of dough then. :cry It's still going strong and as good as new. :drool *knock wood*

Hi - Both of them are actually LCD displays. TFT's are just a better type of LCD.
There are 3 different formats for TFT:'s

XGA (extended graphics array)

SXGA (super extended graphics array)

UXGA (ultra extended graphics array)

Hope this helps in making your decision

 

I am using an ACER monitor right now, a X223w model, had it since xmas of 08 working like a charm, i like it, games and movies look really good.

If your getting a new one, go with a widescreen, they are sexxy

 

got one today 22" WIDE SCREEN X222owms DVI-D D-SUB HDMI SVIDEO COMP 5MS RESPONSE TIME ALL SORTS OF STRANGE THINGS ON IT INCLUDING USB PORTS ON THE SIDE OF THE MONITOR
SHAME I DONT KNOW WHAT IT ALL MEANS, STILL I'LL HAVE FUN FINDING OUT.
