Morrowind crash

i just installed Morrowind on my (2nd) computer and i CAN NOT get it to work..... i installed MW, Tribunal, Bloodmoon, and a handfull of plug ins, got them all up and co-operating, but then, when i try to play the game, it tells me "that Morrowind has encountered an error and has to close".... DL'd DX9, as i noticed that my DX8 didnt have DX3D, and now that i installed DX9, IT doesnt have it either.... what the hell do i do?

 

ok, turns out my comp doesnt recognize my vid card.... how do i fix it?

 

have you tried installing the latest drivers for your card?

you can get them online if you know who makes your video card, or if you have a big box system, let us know who makes it. (ie.. Dell, Gateway, Compaq..)

 

its a gateway. got a radeon 9600g, i was dickin around yesterday, and noticed that DirectX (8) didnt have DX3D.... so i DL'd DX9.... and still no DX3D... also, in my system information, it is completely blank about display....

 

try installing the latest drivers from www.ati.com (you're in the radeon family)

let me know if they install correctly
