Very new to all this computer stuff in the car building garage used to be the first thing I would tear out of the car... Anyway I just built computer with gigbyte mother board 965p-ds3 just curious if it was bad choice (be honest) or does it have potential? Any input appreciated thanks..

Hi i have just got this board but in the next step up with 1333fsb speed you have made a good enough choice i am finding it to be the best i have brought so far it should support up to 8gb of memory and have 8 chl HD Audio which is good and the best thing is that it is Quad core ready so if you are using with dual core 2 duo you can upgrade without changing the board and run at low voltage if necesary so it wont get that hot. i have put a quad in mine and its pretty fast i use it in a home entertainment media centre so have a 50" lg plasma as a secondary displays and its the nuts !!

the 965P-DS3, although now the second choice in gigabyte's lineup next to the P35-DS4, is a great board. I achieved a 3.53GHz overclock on it with my 1.86GHz Core 2 Duo. it has some funny problems. like sometimes it would turn back on when you shut it off. but it's a minor thing. but other then that, it's a excellent board

Thanks all for looking I too am impressed with it :) but I dont know my parts in the computer world good yet now if you asked what chevy part is one of the best I could point you in the right direction. I want to shove in the quad core and more ram the duo core is going to be new project and clocked most likely..want to learn some programming first and more fundamentals of the why's and why nots. :confused
