Okay, so I'm building a new computer. I have it all picked out, but I noticed an identically priced mobo, that's pretty similar, and I'm wondering what everyone thinks.

This is the list of what will be plugged into, and what I'm putting it in.
    Case: Rosewill Galaxy-03 39.99 (BOUGHT)

    HDD: Seagate Barracuda ST1000M003 1TB 50.99

    CPU:AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6-Core 3.5GHz 109.99
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113286

    RAM:Team Elite 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 29.99 x2
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820313097

    Video Card: MSI N750-1GD5/OC G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 750 1GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 94.99

    OS: Windows 7 92.99

And these are the Mobo's I'm deciding between:

    Motherboard: ASUS M4N68T V2 39.99

    OR

    ASRock Extreme3

Help me Geeky-wans you're my only hope. :D

I noticed you picked the 64 bit edition of windows 7. I'd recommend increasing your ram to 8GB if possible. Though, both those motherboards max out at 16GB of ram. If I'm looking at that correctly.

Personally, I'm partial to Asus. But, the Asrock allows for sli (two video cards). But the card you picked can't utilize SLI.

I'm typically the last person you want to get an opinion on a system at this level. But, I'm liking the asrock better (though, in my head I'm cringing, since it is not my typical Asus pick).

I'm actually getting two of those RAM sticks so I'll have 8GB of RAM.

I haven't really seen much use out of SLI myself.

No, you don't. No PSU. ;)

    Also, ASUS > ASRock.

Pending on the games you play, running multiple cards do help. I'm running three, btw. Though, I plan on looking at a decent upgrade when the 390x comes out, or I will jump on the titan-x. I'm hoping that ATI..err AMD will give decent TDP on their new cards. I'm really hoping....

From most bench's I've seen, two cards is about 75% better than one, and 3 is 50% better than two. Four cards it is down to 25% better than three. But, not in all cases. Now, if you are folding, then the benefits of running 3 cards come in play.

As far as I am aware, this is more than sufficient for my needs: Chiefmax 650W PSU Haven't found need for anything more fancy.

I play Minecraft, Skyrim, the Fallouts. And I'm not a 'Must has best Graphics' kind of person anyway. My current card is a GeForce 9600 GTX, and it runs those all just fine. I can, incidentally, run Crysis. :p

I have a laptop, so there's no need to fold my desktop.

The advantage to the ASRock I see is the presence of USB3.0, and the newer SATA3.

One other question. I'll be getting two 4GB sticks of ram. Both mobos have two separate channels. Is it better to install both sticks on one? Or one on each? With the considered ultimate goal of upgrading to 16GB of RAM total.
