motherboard Asus CUW-AM/MEW-AM

what cpu's can i use for this motherboard other then Intel Celeron II, 800 MHz (8 x 100). i want somthing for gaming. plz post a responz

I think its a socket 370 "I dont know anything about old intel sockets"so you will want this

But I honestly dont think its worth it and you won't be able to play many games on it.I couldn't find anything on asus's site,but a full web search points to a 370 the only way to tell what the fastest cpu it will take really is to check with asus or hope someone on here has had one

The socket on that motherboard is an FC-PGA.
Nothing that goes in that socket is really worth looking at, BUT, with PowerLeap's Neo-T socket adaptor, you can install a Tualatin 1.2-1.4 GHz Celeron. I used a 1.3 and the whole thing was about $90 US. Good performance, but I do not think it is enough for a gaming machine. For that, I'd look at the current P4 box from Surplus Computers. 2.4GHz with 100GB HD etc. Not bad for $270.
