I'll keep this short, new build asus p8z68-v lx, 2600k, with a hyper 212 plus. I installed the 212 last night and when the bios was starting up I clicked the ez tune for performance option. Seems to be stress testing around 68-72c. 55c-65c in games depending on games and to have auto oced to 4.4. Is the ez tune feature something to trust? Gaming is my top priority on the machine.

As long as your temps are good, you should be fine. If you notice any major slowdown in your games, try disabling the auto-overclock and see if that helps, otherwise leave in on if the temps stay OK.

Thanks, seems to be running cool actually hasn't broke 60c in a couple days. Seems a ton of people bash on the auto ocs but it's running cool and fast, I don't feel like taxing it to see how far it will go, so I'll just leave it.... Though I'm wondering if the 4.4 is it coming in at 4.4 or is it like 4.0 and 4.4 turboboosted?

Well, according to this spec sheet, the normal processor speed is 3.4 and when the turbo kicks in it bumps it up to 3.8.
