just a quick Q before i am off to work....
motherboard is an ASUS P4S8X rv.1
    gig ram
    nvidia(ASUS) 512meg 6800 video card
    p4 cpu(2.8 Ghz)
running 3Dmark03 it reports everything is smooth and running good.....
my question stems from something in the report....I have been told over and over that P4S8X is not hyperthreading capable
3Dmark03 says that hyperthreading is available but disabled.....would this be hardware disabled on the motherboard, or disabled as in, P4 cpu with HT technology is not installed, I have really searched the net for this info and am quite frankly stumped. I would love it if this were HT compatible, but i think this may be an anomaly with the 3Dmark03 software benchmark, or perhaps i am misunderstanding what it is telling me.

get task manager up and goto performance, if it shows that you have two CPUs hyperthreading is enabled if it shows one CPU then it isnt. also it is an option in bios to enable hyperthreading if you dont have it then check for bios update if none then you cant have hyperthreading :(
