Motherboard Diagnose.

Can any one tell me how to diagnose a motherboard? all hardware good.

 

If all the hardware is good then the motherboard is faulty If you try new ram and cpu and it still won't start it's dead, finding which component within the motherboard has died, purchase an identical component that may not even be sold and then replace the component manually is practically an impossibility. There are a few basic things to look for such as blown/leaking capacitors,this is the first thing to check as well as any other blown burnt components.

You can connect a pc speaker to the motherboard and hope for a error code,if you get one you will hopefully know which component within the motherboard that is faulty but fixing it is again almost an impossibility and you will never be sure until you test the motherboard with working components.

The problem with these is they only work when the computer powers up but fails the post test and you should get a beep code from the speaker anyway.

The best method if you don't have a compatible cpu is to as a local store to test your cpu,if the memory is good and the cpu is good then the motherboard is bad so replace it.
