Recently my mouses have been going on and off. I tried two, a wired one and a wireless one. I tried all 9 USB ports on my motherboard and it keeps giving me the problem, the mouses malfunctioning, is my motherboard dying?

    Hi

Do you have many USB items plugged in at once into the USB ports, too many in at once and your PSU may not be able to cope with the power requirements, try just the keyboard and mouse as the only USB items plugged in and all others removed.

also check that Power Save mode is not enabled for any of the USB Root Hubs in Device manager:

Open up the Universal Serial Bus Controllers tree and doubke click USB Root Hubs then click on on the "Power Management" tab > Uncheck the box that says "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power." if checked.

Do this for all USB Root Hubs.

You can rule out the mice at fault my using them on another PC if possible, a friends will do.
