Motherboard Help

I justfinished building my computer and after hours (and I mean hours) of trial and error I found out that the problem with my computer is the mother board won't get power if it is screwed into the case. Without the screws everything works fine, howeveronce I put even one in the system won't stat up. The fan moves and then the stops. Any ideas how to fix this or what the problem is?

 

The mobo should rest in these distances that's supplied with the mobo, if you didn't use them you'll short circuit the mobo. Probably nothing's happened thus far but make sure you have them in there.

If that's not the case check so you got all the connectors fully in, check the setup once more from scratch.

be sure you are using moptherboard stand offs as well

I mean the pins that keep the mobo up from the bottom / back wall of the chassis. I think you said it there, the stand offs.

 

yea i had the same problem...get some electrical tape and some rubber washers...you dont need both but i do just to be safe

put the rubber washers ont he holes where umount ur mobo
place electrical tape over them
poke hole in tape
mount mobo
YOUR DONE
