motherboard - processor incompatability?

Hi there everybody! My first thread on this forum. Any help would be appreciated with this, I recently purchased an intel dual core processor. (Intel Pentium 4 945 Dual Core "LGA775)

I was looking for motherboard and my friend recommended an Asus P5GD1 because it uses DDR ram and pci express graphics which i already have. However I can not seem to find whether the mobo and processor are compatable? what i really mean is this motherboard able to handle dual core processors such as the one i bought?

I have tried googling it but i am not the best at computers and can not really be sure enough to fork out £60 incase they wont work. Any suggestions i really appreciate. Thank you very much
