I have an ECS L7VMM3 motherboard. I am supposed to have an AMD Athlon 3200 processor, but the DXdiag reads it as a 2200. Does anyone know why this is? And is my computer running as a 2200 or a 3200? I've asked different people and they gave me conflicting answers.

The name of the processor is "Athlon XP 3200+". The clock speed of the processor is 2200 MHz. This is normal.

Try this to get more info on your CPU.

Agreed with da chicken. 2200 is the normal clock speed for the 3200+. It is possible that updating your motherboard's bios would allow it to recognize it as a 3200+.

Make sure your bios settings for the processor are set to 200 MHZ with a multiplier of 11.
