Motherboard & Processor Suggestions

Recently, my motherboard died on my computer.
The motherboard was an Asus P5P800, and now i'm looking
to purchase a new motherboard and processor.
I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on
a motherboard that could handle a Radeon 9800XT,
and a Creative Audigy2ZS sound card. Also, recommendations
on a good power supply would also be appreciated.

Motherboard i think asus a8n's are good but i will let somone else take care of this and processor. Do you have a preferencd on what brand processor?

 

I don't know a ton about computers, which is primarily the reason why I am asking here. Perhaps you could give me some more information on those Asus a8n's you mentioned? Also, as far as the processor is concerned, I don't really have a preference on the brand. Thanks again.

Processor i need some info on what your looking for how much you want to spend ...

 

How much you want to spend, what you will be using the PC for, and what features do you want (eg Firewire, ethernet etc) will get you a more targeted response?

 

ASUS A8N-E and an AMD Athlon 64 3000+.... costs about $250+(exact same setup as im getting, cept im getting a vid card too) It looks good to me!
