I'm SATA ports on my motherboard (880G) might be failing, is there a program for testing SATA ports? (Win 7 64-bit).

try plugging into a differnt port on the board. try a different cable. then try a different HD. see when it fails ant that should help identify the problem. If it fails on all it could be the RAID controller on the MB which means its new MB time.

Finally figured out it was a problem in the registry, removed 1 bad piece, Blu-ray burner is now fully recognized
