I have been having trouble with my graphics card, games would say that my card didnt work with the game, even though my friend had the same games and the same card. So i figured out that my games arent even using my card anymore... they are using hardware acceleration.
Recently, I opened a game, and it said that I should update my motherboard drivers and such. How do I fing out what my motherboard is, and where can I get drivers for it?
    Thanks in advance.

I have a Dell Windows XP, Pentium 4 2.52 GHz, 512 MB ram, 128 MB Nvidia Geforce FX 5500.
If you need more, please ask.
    Sorry.

Try going to dell and updating BIOS/ motherboard drivers. go to nvidia.com and update your video card drivers , but uninstall the old video card drivers first and reboot then install the new pair. Also make sure the game your playing is compatible with the fx 5500 card.

I'll try that, but i know its not my card, because it has been so many games, old and new games.

Ummm....shot in the dark here, but have you disabled the onboard video? I'm guessing you probably have onboard video and I'm also guessing it might not be disabled. You do have your monitor's HD15 cabled plugged into the video card too right? Anyways, try going into the bios and making sure your onboard video is disabled. BTW what series is your Dell?

    Sorry for the delayed response.
I changed the motherboard to auto video instead of agp. My moniter is plugged directly into the video card.
My dell is a dimension 4550.
Also, my motherboard has no built in graphics card.

My computer says that my display adapter is my 128 MB Nvidia Geforce FX 5500.
I dont know really what the problem is, but when I open Ground Controll 2, I get that message, and the title screen has graphic problems... it looks glitchy and stuff.

I'll take any help that I can get... I can't really play any games right now, because they run slowly.
