Howdy all, I just recently sorta rebuilt my older computer by getting a new motherboard in it and a new video card. I now have an Asus A7V8X-X motherboard and a ATI Radeon 9600 Pro. And the mobo won't detect my video card at all, any suggestions? Running XP btw. Thanks. :)

By all the info I can find those two pieces of harwdware should work together. What specifically does the unit do when you attempt to power it on? Beeping? Nothing?
The board will try to tell you whats wrongwith the post beeps. Make sure you have a speaker conected to the board if it does not have an onboard buzzer.
A video post error is usually 1 long tone followed be 2 or 3 short ones.
Memory is usually a repetitive long tone.
If you get no sounds from the board at all then check to make sure your CPU is installed properly.

Well it's working well enough that I have it connected right now and am using it, I just can't seem to get the computer to register it.

Well I got it so it's reading the card now, but it says it's 9700 Pro instead of 9600 Pro, the one I have. Anyone know how to get it to 9600 Pro?
