motherboards

i want to change my dell dimension e310 motherboard because it does not have very much power just with pci slots - what type of motherboard and processer can i get so my games will play smoother and the computer is faster....peter:wave

 

We need a few details to be able to help.
What power supply do you have and what is your budget.

Just changing the motherboard is not enough,to get more power and smoother game depends on the Ram,graphics card and CPU.

 

Also does the e310 use a standard ( ATX, microATX) motherboard or is it one that was made special for Dell?
I've seen a few Dell models where a non-standard motherboard was used meaning a standard one will not fit in the Dell case as the slots just don't line up.
