    Hi,

I'm no geek with computers but I love messing with them. My computer needs a new processor. Can I just replace the processor or will I need to buy a new motherboard? Would anyone suggest ebay as a good place? I have stayed clear of electronics on ebay, but thought with this type item it might be okay.?

Make sure that the CPU you buy will fit the motherboard. (Socket type, fsb speed).

I have always heard nothing but good things about the online retailer

What kind of MOBO do you have?

Ebay? not for me, I know several people who do and they all have been ripped off before but they still use it.
